基弗纪录片：Remembering the Future I
绘画是为认识，认识是为绘画。我着手每一个新主题、处理每一种体验时，首先是没有任何讨论的。认识是在绘画过程中产生的，但进而所获得的观点又改变了绘画。这样一个过程，这样一种循环推论，是我们在每一幅画的创作中都可以应用的。

基弗，更像是一个神秘的炼金术士，利用各样的质料炼造不同效果的“丹药”。那些油彩、树脂、乳胶媒剂，以及自然中随手抓取的稻草、灰烬、石头、树叶，不同的配比组合，再注进某些神秘的咒语，宗教神秘主义的、哲学的、音乐的、诗歌的、艺术的，再以他的艺术思考为引子，炼就起他艺术的全部。我想，是时代和他广阔的视野造就了他，是赋予物质的神秘化成就了他。他利用这一切，在历史的废墟中铸起自己的艺术之城。
